Globalization is driving growth in the intralogistics industry, which benefits more than almost any other sector from the increasing integration of world trade. And the industry's most important international showcase is CeMAT, which takes place once every three years at the Exhibition Grounds in Hannover. The last CeMAT in 2008 attracted some 1,100 exhibitors from 35 countries and 60,000 trade visitors from all over the world. Over 45 per cent of the exhibitors came from outside Germany, while the corresponding figure for visitors was in excess of 35 per cent. For manufacturers CeMAT has become the platform of choice for presenting genuine technical innovations.
